Three Times A Charm

Remember this Goodwill find?

The brass container was just not doing it for me.  Then....I decided (for some unknown reason) to spray paint it.  White.  I. Know.  What was I thinking?  You can check it out here.

I was oh so careful not to get any spray paint on the arrangement.

I know.  The horror. *faints*

So...then I found this can of spray paint that was ummmmm....orange.  Still...what was I thinking??  Guess what?  I then had an ORANGE container.  Then...Shenita over at Embellishments By SLR suggested I put some sort of stain over it.  I think that's what she said....that's what I read anyway....and I just so happen to have stain on hand.  Which was a good thing.  Another good thing was that it was not some off the wall color that I was going to slather on the container one way or another!

Here's my end result!

I actually like this better.  Not sure if I'm done with it...but it's looking much better, right?  Just say yes, mmmmkay?
