It seems Santa thought she should be blinged out this year. Not enough room in your jewelry box? I saw this idea somewhere and decided it was the way to go with keeping up with her jewelry. She's not the best person about returning her jewelry to the proper place, but this idea made it a bit easier.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ar9byrmShZA/TxR647YganI/AAAAAAAABoY/3mqzKSOFPBk/s1600/IMAG00021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ar9byrmShZA/TxR647YganI/AAAAAAAABoY/3mqzKSOFPBk/s400/IMAG00021.JPG" width="300" /></a></div> <span style="font-size: large;">I found these 2 boards at Goodwill some time ago. I bought the 2 boards on 2 different occasions. Trust me, these boards are ALWAYS at our Goodwill from time to time. After the first board on top was filled, I bought board number 2 and begin using it for Hannah's Christmas bling. I keep it hid behind her room door. Her jewelry is always handy and she knows exactly what she has at one glance. Ummm...see the big, ugly white cord....don't ask, this is hubs bright idea. Mmmmkay?!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ACshe3GgaQ8/TxR60nDaSiI/AAAAAAAABoQ/AbnMoLGTWuc/s1600/IMAG0010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ACshe3GgaQ8/TxR60nDaSiI/AAAAAAAABoQ/AbnMoLGTWuc/s400/IMAG0010.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7gAnHlXskyk/TxR7K4G9rjI/AAAAAAAABoo/1iwg9BKYU_U/s1600/IMAG00056.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7gAnHlXskyk/TxR7K4G9rjI/AAAAAAAABoo/1iwg9BKYU_U/s400/IMAG00056.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AMyhvRD0YBM/TxR7S7qEFJI/AAAAAAAABow/oOg4dO1CefQ/s1600/IMAG00064.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AMyhvRD0YBM/TxR7S7qEFJI/AAAAAAAABow/oOg4dO1CefQ/s400/IMAG00064.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5qzKTWiyzvI/TxR7BvcCA2I/AAAAAAAABog/Q5Xt-LyhBqg/s1600/IMAG00032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5qzKTWiyzvI/TxR7BvcCA2I/AAAAAAAABog/Q5Xt-LyhBqg/s400/IMAG00032.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hKbOnVHuwNk/TxR7aK4JQXI/AAAAAAAABo4/7QdooU-tszo/s1600/IMAG00083.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hKbOnVHuwNk/TxR7aK4JQXI/AAAAAAAABo4/7QdooU-tszo/s400/IMAG00083.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> I still have to "straighten out" the boards to my satisfaction from time to time, but it's proven to be the best way to store her jewelry. I've noticed since we pulled everything out of her jewelry boxes, she is wearing the jewelry more often now. You know the old saying, "out of sight, out of mind". This freed up tons of room on her dresser!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">There's room for a couple of more boards behind her door if need be. Please kill me if she needs them. This idea would work well in a walk in closet totally out of site. But for her...for now, I find that it's a "good thing". </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />

Not really....more like, monkeys and dogs (chinese dogs at that)....mmmkay? So....a couple of weeks ago while Hannah and I were on our Saturday morning thrifting adventure, I found this great elephant lamp. I know, right?! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Lookey....Lookey....</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8nZMChoNe78/TwxFZ0A81II/AAAAAAAABoA/HnQnsLkPYLI/s1600/IMAG00012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8nZMChoNe78/TwxFZ0A81II/AAAAAAAABoA/HnQnsLkPYLI/s400/IMAG00012.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cNCRKwjUOFs/TwxFi0zmMdI/AAAAAAAABoI/ACp6MNysfCg/s1600/IMAG00046.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cNCRKwjUOFs/TwxFi0zmMdI/AAAAAAAABoI/ACp6MNysfCg/s400/IMAG00046.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> and what did this little treasure cost me you ask? $6. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Since I made no New Years resolutions that will eventually fail if I actually call them that. I am here to report that I've lost 10lbs and my blood sugar is down to 126. (takes a bow) I hope I can keep this up.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">My daughter, Christina gave me a new website to take a peek at and I thought I would share it with you. She's a health FREAK...so she knows.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.whfoods.com/">The World's Healthiest Foods</a></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I'll be incorporating these recipes into my grocery list and come up with a better healthy eating plan. Hopefully I can cook some of these recipes and share the really good ones with you. Wish me luck!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Now to go stare at my family room and see if there is anything I can change in there.....what?! </span>mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-43483302046295198852012-01-08T09:01:00.000-05:002012-01-08T09:01:43.916-05:00What To Do First....<span style="font-size: large;">I ended last year with not completing the laundry room project. It's like this tire around my neck. I HATE TO PAINT. Any volunteers?? It's a must do soon though. I've got to get this monkey off my back. The laundry room would look so much better with a coat of fresh paint. I think this room has so much stuff in it, that just looking at it makes it a neverending all weekend job. I haven't been able to want to even give up my weekend for it yet. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The holidays left me not in touch with my cozi.com cleaning schedule. I randomly cleaned throughout the month of December, which meant...some of my weekends were days filled with cleaning again. There was just to much going on!! I printed my schedule off last week and somewhat did what it said. I am in hopes this week I can tune back in and not find myself cleaning on my weekend off. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">My son turns 28 on Friday. Friday the 13th! The exact day this 2 lb. 15 oz. guy was born.</span> <span style="font-size: large;">Three days prior to the 13th</span>, <span style="font-size: large;">I found myself on an ambulance headed about 3 hours from here to Columbus, GA. Preemies back then were not something our hospital here could deal with. Can I just say that I love him! He's went through alot in his 28 years and I'm so proud of him. We'll be celebrating this weekend!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Hannah and I did our Saturday morning thrifting adventure. The places we go now...KNOW US well. Heh. I found Ryder a really cool hooded towel that looks like a dinosaur. I can see him now running around growling. I can't wait to show him. I found a Bob the Builder toy that actually makes this very annoying noise...he'll love it...me....not so much! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Hannah found another LP at Goodwill. She has quite the collection now. Here's a blast from the past!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jd_t-hg9C_w/TwmenUg0JyI/AAAAAAAABnI/NeFJ2rqIxeU/s1600/IMAG00011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jd_t-hg9C_w/TwmenUg0JyI/AAAAAAAABnI/NeFJ2rqIxeU/s400/IMAG00011.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

Sorry.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I stumbled across this little item. It was brand new...still in its plastic wrap...waiting on moi.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-krb9cmNZU-E/Twmf4wIMiFI/AAAAAAAABn4/KMgg-esVNXg/s1600/IMAG00073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-krb9cmNZU-E/Twmf4wIMiFI/AAAAAAAABn4/KMgg-esVNXg/s320/IMAG00073.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> The writing on the top of each sheet says....To Do List. Yeah. I needed it. I have lots to do! Plus...the paper is just cute, right?</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I'd like to share a site with you. It's called www.fitday.com. Go check it out. I hate making New Year's Resolutions...so I won't say this is one of them. I'll just say, I went to my doctor on Friday...started some new meds....got a tongue lashing about my out of control blood sugar and found this site. I am officially on a diet. I know. I KNOW. What's great about this site is that it helps you count your calories during the day. It has a journal.....a place to record any exercise that you do and will calculate calories used and much more. Hannah and I are both doing this...well because she has to do everything I do. So...yesterday we spent the day logging every single item that we ate. I hope we can keep this up. It does make you aware of what you are eating for sure. We'll see how it goes! Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm not a very good dieter.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Next post...I've got an elephant I want to introduce you to!</span>mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-57443390147728222212012-01-06T08:26:00.000-05:002012-01-06T08:26:03.389-05:00Lookey What I found!<span style="font-size: large;">Goodwill never fails me. It's kinda scary. I watch the hoarding shows on television and I'm in hopes 20 years from now I won't be actually ON the show. </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GNlsg8qJCf0/Twb1KE5RFKI/AAAAAAAABm4/K1K_b0sXiWE/s1600/IMAG0003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GNlsg8qJCf0/Twb1KE5RFKI/AAAAAAAABm4/K1K_b0sXiWE/s400/IMAG0003.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

Are they just the cutest things ever?? Who could have resisted this find!!! </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qmHQOgQbvtE/Twb01sYncQI/AAAAAAAABmo/9VsGpdiswbM/s1600/IMAG00071.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qmHQOgQbvtE/Twb01sYncQI/AAAAAAAABmo/9VsGpdiswbM/s400/IMAG00071.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I paid $3 for this at Goodwill. I just love this pillow. I was a little sad it didn't have my dachshund on it, but I'll learn to deal with it. Dachshunds probably have their own pillows anyway!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This landed in my family room. I love it!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span>mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-48057372717678125692012-01-04T09:57:00.000-05:002012-01-04T09:57:16.526-05:00Blog Break Ovah!!<span style="font-size: large;">I know! I've been MIA for a couple of weeks now. I've enjoyed the holidays with my family. I had 2 short work weeks and I've enjoyed every minute of the time off. There was LOTS of cooking going on here. All the way into New Year's Day. I cooked the traditional New Year's dinner and we should all have lots of money and luck this year!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I'm happy to say that with many of the "deal sites" that I'm connected with, I was able to be really frugal this year with Christmas gifts. EXTREMELY frugal! I so appreciate these ladies that search the internet and post the deals for all us <strike>slackers</strike> dedicated followers to save money! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I was finally able to clear the house of all the Christmas decor and get things back to some sort of normality. This is a job I totally do not enjoy doing. I had very little help. It seems that <strike>everyone</strike> Hannah was on board to put everything up...but was no where to be found for the clean up. This is the time when hub never fails to say "you wanted all this up...take it down". That statement can make me turn into a "broom rider" quickly.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Funny thing that happened is that I forgot what my fireplace looked like before Fall and Christmas decor went up. So....I went on line and checked out my pictures and was able to find exactly what the mantle looked like and decided to change things up once again. Here's a pic of the newly decorated mantle using things I had around the house. Don't we tend to do that? Move things around?! or is that just "me". Ahem.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x82UQdWMHMs/TwRg6P6Pg3I/AAAAAAAABlk/Svz4LiI1fjI/s1600/IMAG000440.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x82UQdWMHMs/TwRg6P6Pg3I/AAAAAAAABlk/Svz4LiI1fjI/s400/IMAG000440.JPG" width="400" /></a></span></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N08KcBUWDvE/TwRiVBOZRFI/AAAAAAAABls/hr2C5pOZAlg/s1600/IMAG000529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N08KcBUWDvE/TwRiVBOZRFI/AAAAAAAABls/hr2C5pOZAlg/s400/IMAG000529.JPG" width="400" /></a></span></div><span style="font-size: large;">I sort of kept things simple on the mantle. As you can tell...the sunlight was pouring in this morning.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Did all the excitement of Christmas and New Years keep me away from the Thrift Stores? Indeed NOT!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's some great finds from Goodwill and Thrift Stores!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-itmowOgISSg/TwRjKrthHxI/AAAAAAAABl4/VowTqy4TzpM/s1600/IMAG00159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-itmowOgISSg/TwRjKrthHxI/AAAAAAAABl4/VowTqy4TzpM/s400/IMAG00159.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> Can we just say that I did a little dance when I saw this at Goodwill!! $2.99 and cha-ching in the cart it went. We received some "moose munch" for a Christmas gift this year and what a perfect container to store it in!! There was a larger one to match this one, that I clearly did not need....so thankfully it had a chip on it orrr....well....who knows, right??</span><br />

I looked at it for a while before I decided why I needed it. See how practical I am?! Ahem. Anyhoo....Hannah's black & white DIY desk in our family room was the perfect place. She can fill these drawers with her <strike>junk</strike> valuable trinkets and be happy.</span><br />

The colors practically jumped off the wall. For $5.99....it was mine. It matched the kitchen perfectly and all I had to do was move some pictures around and it had its place in my kitchen.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Ya'll know there is more, right? No time today!! Next post!! Goodwill is busting at the seams this time of the year!! Go check it out!</span>mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-90699255727312897572011-12-19T09:10:00.005-05:002011-12-21T06:58:50.337-05:00Thrift Store Break<span style="font-size: large;">I have come to the realization that thrifting is the key to my sanity. I had not been in a couple of weeks and I needed to slow down and enjoy a little thrifting. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Saturday morning was a much needed day to thrift. Hannah and I headed to a couple of thrift stores here before we went to Walmart to do some grocery shopping. Which in itself is very stressful!! I was ready to see what these stores had to offer during the holiday season. Do people donate during this time? Oh yes they do!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I was able to pick up several things. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Remember this find at our local Goodwill a week before Thanksgiving? Pumpkin salt and pepper shakers!!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cc0ljY9pS0w/Tu9DJcII5jI/AAAAAAAABkw/uZbn-A9wAHE/s1600/IMAG0048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cc0ljY9pS0w/Tu9DJcII5jI/AAAAAAAABkw/uZbn-A9wAHE/s400/IMAG0048.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> Goodwill did not fail me. I found these adorable Christmas salt and pepper shakers. The 3 piece set was $1.99!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yMVe8Al63Bo/Tu9DgE1qzDI/AAAAAAAABk4/FNeoD3T9XEQ/s1600/IMAG000244.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yMVe8Al63Bo/Tu9DgE1qzDI/AAAAAAAABk4/FNeoD3T9XEQ/s400/IMAG000244.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NytCnB7VJr8/Tu9D6z-bAsI/AAAAAAAABlA/5PvmlEeBHRA/s1600/IMAG000150.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NytCnB7VJr8/Tu9D6z-bAsI/AAAAAAAABlA/5PvmlEeBHRA/s400/IMAG000150.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">We then traveled over to a local thrift store here that always has wonderful treasures in it. This day was no exception. I found this for $2! I decorated with a ribbon I had...I know! the ribbon should be red and my mind is spinning about it, but for now....here's the find!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HdprbSle4Fw/Tu9EG1Kc0wI/AAAAAAAABlI/NOZnSdiQMPA/s1600/IMAG000626.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HdprbSle4Fw/Tu9EG1Kc0wI/AAAAAAAABlI/NOZnSdiQMPA/s400/IMAG000626.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> This will be a permanent decoration on my fireplace. (for now!) I'm thinking of tackling some red ribbon in the middle of this ribbon. I'll play around with it today. For $2...had to have it!! This store also had a box of ornaments...12 for $1.00 and oh yes I did. They were all mostly handmade...the egg style with colorful pins and ribbons. I can't wait to share them with you!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So...if you need a break from the Christmas race....check out your local thrift store!! I found much more...but I can't share right now! Later...taters! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">UPDATE:</span><br />

I have my menu's done for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My grocery list is ready. I have 4 more gifts to buy, which will be pretty easy because I know exactly what I'm buying. I have a few gifts that arrived by mail this week that must be wrapped. I'm tying up loose ends, as they would say.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I'm hosting Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my house. My sister in law and I swap Christmas Eve with my in laws every year. We usually plan an afternoon of celebration with the in laws every Christmas Eve.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I try to come up with different things on the year I host Christmas Eve. I remember one year having a brunch and I just about cooked every single brunch food imaginable. This year I've decided to keep it simple. Since everyone is coming over mid-afternoon, I thought that snacks would be appropriate. I like to call it "grazing food". There will be 19 of us gathered together.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's what I'll be serving.....</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Olives and Cheddar Cheese (toothpicked)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Hot Apple Cider</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Soda's</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Easy enough, right?! I'm excited to try the crockpot Autumn cake. A friend gave me the recipe and said that it was always a hit at their office. If you can put crockpot and cake in the same sentence?! I'm going for it!!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's the recipe for the Autumn Cake.</span><br />
Easy Autumn Cake<br />
<br />
makes: 8 servings<br />
prep time: 15 min.<br />
cooking time: 3-5 hrs<br />
ideal slow cooker size: 3 1/2 - 4 quart<br />
<br />
2 16-oz. cans sliced apples, undrained (not pie filling)<br />
18 1/4-oz. pkg. spice cake mix<br />
1 stick butter melted<br />
1/2 cup chopped pecans<br />
<br />
1. Spray interior of slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray<br />
2. Spoon apples and their juice into slow cooker, spreading evenly over the bottom.<br />
3. Sprinkle with dry spice cake mix.<br />
4. Pour melted butter over dry mix. Top with chopped pecans.<br />
5. Cook on low 3-5 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into topping comes out dry.<br />
6. Serve warm from cooker.<br />
<br />
<br />
Mine cooked for 5 hours. I also put a paper towel between the lid and cooker so the moisture would not fall into the cake. I also think this recipe will serve more than 8.<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Since I'm serving Christmas dinner at 4pm, I'll need to have some sort of breakfast here for all of us. I found this crockpot breakfast casserole on line and I hope it doesn't fail me!! It sounds really easy and delicious and to be able to mix this up the night before and let the crockpot take care of breakfast had me before I read the complete recipe.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's the recipe!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">The site is called Moms Who Think. Exactly what I needed!!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Christmas Day dinner is served at 4pm this year. I love this time. It gives me all day to relax. For years I would alternate a Standing Rib Roast with the next year being Cornish Hens</span>. <span style="font-size: large;">For the last few years, the children have asked for the Cornish Hens. They are so easy to prepare and can be done the night before!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A75yqa2gy5E/TuyJhzcSj4I/AAAAAAAABkg/Q8xxb8Slgcw/s1600/Cornish+Hens.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A75yqa2gy5E/TuyJhzcSj4I/AAAAAAAABkg/Q8xxb8Slgcw/s320/Cornish+Hens.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> These little tasty birds never fail me. This year I am changing up the recipe! I hope no one minds. It's time for a flavor change though. Here's the link to the recipe - <a href="http://allrecipes.com/recipe/apricot-glazed-cornish-hens/detail.aspx">Apricot-Glazed Cornish Hens</a></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's my Christmas Day Menu! I'll be serving 10 with 2 grandchildren!! I have a feeling Ryder is going to be happy with some frozen chicken nuggets and Sophia will gum down her bottle!!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Apricot Glazed Cornish Hens</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Wild Rice</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Bacon Wrapped Beans</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Cranberry Pineapple Gelatin Salad</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Rolls</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Red Velvet Cake</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> I have to give you the link to Paula Deen's Cranberry Pineapple Gelatin Salad. I promise you it is by far the best gelatin salad I have every put in my mouth!! <a href="http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/cranberry-pineapple-gelatin-salad-recipe/index.html">Cranberry Pineapple Salad</a></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The bacon wrapped beans are a must have at Christmas. You can't even imagine how festive they look on the plate. Someone gave me this recipe years ago and it has always been a hit at meals here. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's my recipe:</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Fresh green beans</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Bacon</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">French Catalina Dressing</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Salt and Pepper to taste</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Wash and cut the ends off the beans. I usually take a good handful of beans and stack together and take one slice of bacon and wrapped around the beans and tie a pretty knot in the front. Once you have all these bundles on your baking sheet, take the Catalina dressing and drizzle all over the beans. The more the tastier! You bake on 375 until the beans are not soft, but not hard. You want your bacon to be done. You can use 1/2 slice of bacon if you like, it would probably cook faster. I always use a full piece because I like the big knot on the front of my bundle. Ummm...sorry...you just gotta know when to stop!! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I hope you can take something from this post! It's going to be a busy weekend this coming week!! I always say...the kitchen seems to be the hub of our home and I like it that way. I can't wait to have all of our family around the table Christmas Day!!</span>mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-75792230044427758192011-12-16T08:36:00.001-05:002011-12-21T06:56:38.137-05:00DIY Christmas Wreath<span style="font-size: large;">I've had my front door Christmas wreath since the early 80's. Talk about never tossing anything away!! I actually purchased the wreath at a Home Interior party way back when. It was adorned with pinecones. One year I added apples to it.....a couple of years ago, I splurged and added ornaments to it. The bow has changed throughout the years.....but this is what it is for now. Who knows what it will be next year!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t-GUVhT3PH8/TutILiRtCJI/AAAAAAAABkI/YuujBe2_-Is/s1600/Christmas+2011-37.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t-GUVhT3PH8/TutILiRtCJI/AAAAAAAABkI/YuujBe2_-Is/s640/Christmas+2011-37.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"> I do decorate somewhat on my front porch. Garland, ribbon and lights are around the door. I have 2 small lit trees on either side of the door and the banister is wrapped with garland and bows. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This is the countdown!!! This time next week I will be patiently awaiting the arrival of our granddaughter, Sophia from Tennessee!!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I'm Linking Up To These Parties!</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> <span style="font-size: large;">At last the decorations are complete. I was thinking about traditions the other night and begin to think about our family and what traditions we have. It always seemed to come back to food! Traditionally...the last several years we have had cornish hens for Christmas dinner. Then I began to think...what other traditions do we have....and then I remembered....I have always put the children's first baby shoes on our Christmas tree. The first picture shows Christina's little black patten shoes. Since I met Christina when she was 9, I can remember finding these shoes stored in the attic and they promptly went on our tree. I'm not certain they were her "first" shoes, but they certainly were very small. The second picture is of Hannah's first baby shoes. Black patten mary jane's. Oh how I remember these shoes! Tyler's were high top white shoes. This was the in thing way back when. It brings back such wonderful memories of the children every year that I put these shoe's on our tree.</span><br />

I took a few pictures to show you. I have these all over my tree. I guess this could be considered a tradition as no one is allowed to place these Santa's on the tree but me! Each and every one of them are different in their own way. Here's just a few of them.....</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I also have these bows on my tree every year. I was a bow making crazy lady over 10 years ago. The ribbon is gold and has musical notes on it. This is also a no-no for anyone to put on the tree but me!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q-8E35QYxqg/Tun2m2dOKUI/AAAAAAAABjI/Ix7-8LVQJ4M/s1600/Tree+2011-3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q-8E35QYxqg/Tun2m2dOKUI/AAAAAAAABjI/Ix7-8LVQJ4M/s400/Tree+2011-3.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's most of the gifts wrapped and ready to go. I rarely do bows. I know! What could I be thinking?? Well...honestly, I have found that it is easier to transport and stack under the tree without bows. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Hannah managed to place some bows on a few packages...but for the most part...NO BOWS! My Scrooge tradition!</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This little Victorian boy has been in my Christmas decor for many years. My mother in law gave me 2 of these. A girl and a boy. They are both battery operated.</span> <span style="font-size: large;">They are both just full of cuteness and when turned on, all eyes are fixated on their every move.</span> <span style="font-size: large;">This year I moved them to the family room. I normally have them on a table together in the formal living room, but I thought we might could enjoy them a bit more in the room where we are the most.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GrnIUQvtpeY/TuiNONtTddI/AAAAAAAABh4/W2Q3SjJ84Pg/s1600/Christmas+2011-62.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GrnIUQvtpeY/TuiNONtTddI/AAAAAAAABh4/W2Q3SjJ84Pg/s400/Christmas+2011-62.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YH24udORpOI/TuiK6fIxg1I/AAAAAAAABfg/T1_hX9WnDPQ/s1600/Christmas+2011-14.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YH24udORpOI/TuiK6fIxg1I/AAAAAAAABfg/T1_hX9WnDPQ/s400/Christmas+2011-14.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">These items are also in my family room. I changed out the Fall decor in my glass container (from Goodwill) and added some potpourri and a Christmas candle. I tied a velvet ribbon with a couple of charms around the container for that little extra touch. I kept the cross (from Goodwill) in the mix and changed out the bowl Fall decor to some random ornaments.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o_BoLddOAAw/TuiK-HHzmaI/AAAAAAAABfo/9LlROQ2fWCw/s1600/Christmas+2011-12.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o_BoLddOAAw/TuiK-HHzmaI/AAAAAAAABfo/9LlROQ2fWCw/s320/Christmas+2011-12.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> The Angel and the snowman have been around for a while. The Angel actually has a candle in it and glows perfectly when lit.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qPCeRtU8AY0/TuiLEB-NnqI/AAAAAAAABfw/NK9kLe7YrGc/s1600/Christmas+2011-15.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qPCeRtU8AY0/TuiLEB-NnqI/AAAAAAAABfw/NK9kLe7YrGc/s400/Christmas+2011-15.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />

What a lovely trio they are. I've used them in my family room on a shelf with 2 plates on each side. These plates were purchased last year at a Goodwill Store.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O9V2JfRalDQ/TuiLQQp-ZqI/AAAAAAAABgA/zMsa-i8dtX0/s1600/Christmas+2011-17.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O9V2JfRalDQ/TuiLQQp-ZqI/AAAAAAAABgA/zMsa-i8dtX0/s400/Christmas+2011-17.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I changed out the plates on my plate rack in the family room. I decided to use a cream colored plate behind the Christmas plates I had.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RzCMV2-GH-o/TuiLiNMyVoI/AAAAAAAABgY/vZluOm4YDuk/s1600/Christmas+2011-20.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RzCMV2-GH-o/TuiLiNMyVoI/AAAAAAAABgY/vZluOm4YDuk/s400/Christmas+2011-20.JPG" width="300" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> <span style="font-size: large;">Another plate I found at Goodwill. This one sits between 2 poinsettia's. All 3of these items were found at Goodwill last year. The Snowman was a Big Lots find several years ago.</span> </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CTPPEU6fGeE/TuiLnQcYBeI/AAAAAAAABgg/Lkzcfhs0uKU/s1600/Christmas+2011-23.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CTPPEU6fGeE/TuiLnQcYBeI/AAAAAAAABgg/Lkzcfhs0uKU/s400/Christmas+2011-23.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZH08_MZUmrM/TuiLsTKRMWI/AAAAAAAABgo/Wx99FvpBwX8/s1600/Christmas+2011-24.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZH08_MZUmrM/TuiLsTKRMWI/AAAAAAAABgo/Wx99FvpBwX8/s400/Christmas+2011-24.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: large;">Now we're in the formal living/dining room. We all know what Christmas is all about. The celebration of Jesus' birth. The manger scene is always a must have at my house. I found this Angel at Big Lots several years ago after Christmas. You will be surprised how much they want to get rid of all their Christmas decor after Christmas. The prices are amazing!</span> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c53Jk-4_ZGI/TuiLzRuLTRI/AAAAAAAABgw/tw6mbpi3I3I/s1600/Christmas+2011-25.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c53Jk-4_ZGI/TuiLzRuLTRI/AAAAAAAABgw/tw6mbpi3I3I/s400/Christmas+2011-25.JPG" width="300" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: large;">These are some random pictures of more decor throughout the living/dining room. This Santa balloon ride was another find several years ago at Big Lots. Santa spins and it's musical. </span> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wiala_PRibY/TuiL5NJEhKI/AAAAAAAABg4/yqHVhPrhPb4/s1600/Christmas+2011-26.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wiala_PRibY/TuiL5NJEhKI/AAAAAAAABg4/yqHVhPrhPb4/s400/Christmas+2011-26.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> <span style="font-size: large;">The angel is also battery operated and the candle lights up that is in her hands when turned on.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LgtD4qEPZfM/TuiL9xU_eWI/AAAAAAAABhA/YYwTMpzUTxg/s1600/Christmas+2011-35.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LgtD4qEPZfM/TuiL9xU_eWI/AAAAAAAABhA/YYwTMpzUTxg/s400/Christmas+2011-35.JPG" width="300" /></a></div> <span style="font-size: large;">How can we not have Mickey and Minnie in the house at Christmas?? This was Hannah's find several years ago and we splurged on this one for her. When turned on it is musical and snow blows throughout the inside! Ryder has finally learned how to turn this on and off and I can tell you he will stand there all day long if you let him!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7QKwfMVekjw/TuiMIDBKyUI/AAAAAAAABhI/xTzaKBZhh08/s1600/Christmas+2011-38.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7QKwfMVekjw/TuiMIDBKyUI/AAAAAAAABhI/xTzaKBZhh08/s400/Christmas+2011-38.JPG" width="300" /></a></div> <span style="font-size: large;">This Angel is a tree topper that I use on a table. I filled the silver basket with red colored balls. Red and Silver just seem to be a perfect color selection for this Angel.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R6DxbL3PYBQ/TuiMRNtP9dI/AAAAAAAABhQ/FFrGZ4DkNr4/s1600/Christmas+2011-40.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R6DxbL3PYBQ/TuiMRNtP9dI/AAAAAAAABhQ/FFrGZ4DkNr4/s400/Christmas+2011-40.JPG" width="300" /></a></div> <span style="font-size: large;">This arrangement use to be my centerpiece on my dining room table. I have since moved it to the bottom shelf on this table.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-buSy93Dr3lY/TuiMfz_UBJI/AAAAAAAABhg/iugLJh-2ijw/s1600/Christmas+2011-56.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-buSy93Dr3lY/TuiMfz_UBJI/AAAAAAAABhg/iugLJh-2ijw/s400/Christmas+2011-56.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> <span style="font-size: large;">I have 2 of these angels and candle holders on each end of my sofa table. You can see my very large snowman standing next to the sofa table. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-amoaNAXRl7o/TuiMzBwPVTI/AAAAAAAABhw/09rKdBMAonk/s1600/Christmas+2011-42.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-amoaNAXRl7o/TuiMzBwPVTI/AAAAAAAABhw/09rKdBMAonk/s400/Christmas+2011-42.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> <span style="font-size: large;">This glass votive arrangement was found several years ago at Brylane Homes. You have to check out their website. They have amazing prices and I've ordered many things from them in the past. As you can see, I had to open the front door to get enough light in the room to take these pictures. You can see underneath the table was my wrapping station. I can say that they are all wrapped and under the tree today!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I have just a few more gifts to buy and some stocking stuffers. I've made my grocery list and I seem all set for the big weekend ahead of us all. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I am trying to stay focused and not let the madness of the holidays stress me out. Christmas is almost here! Take the time to breath deeply and enjoy!!</span><br />

Thursday was my grandson, Ryder's birthday. So...with the Christmas decorating and shopping, I had to stop to focus in on birthday gifts and helping his dad (my son)throw him a family birthday party on Saturday. Since I'm always cha-chinging around here with deals, it was left up to me to find the Swing Set deal of the century for his birthday. This was something my son really wanted to give him and I shopped until I dropped to find that deal. Thing is....the real deal happened only 2 weeks before his birthday and we had to have the swing set shipped to his local Walmart. They gave us about a 10 day delivery date with the last date being on Monday. AFTER. HIS. BIRTHDAY.! Panic...but we held on tight and <strike>every single second</strike> daily I would check the Walmart site to see if there was any movement with this swing set coming down South. Finally on Thursday, I found (probably another Grandmother that has been in my situation), a very nice customer service lady that checked and assured me the swing set would be in by Friday. A huge sigh of relief for sure. We were all happy campers. I ended up at my son's at 9am Saturday morning for him to begin the process of putting the swing set together before his 2pm birthday party. I was the designated babysitter....but with Aunt Hannah in tow, I had time to do some decorating at my son's house. He was "tied up"....what can I say?! So...I searched and searched through all his closets and found some very beautiful Christmas decorations. They are now displayed throughout his house and after a huge eye roll from my manly man son....he knew there was nothing to do but "go with it". Dad's can have their home decorated, right?! He's a very tidy person, so no real cleaning to do before the party....but I certainly had fun decorating. The laundry room was a blur when I looked in....guys just don't do laundry well you know....so, I kicked in and did as much laundry as the day allowed. He owes me BIG TIME! <br />
<br />
The only camera that we had...well, of course the batteries died as soon as it was turned on. ALWAYS. HAPPENS. TO. ME. But....I had him a little mini party at lunch on Friday with the daycare kids and he was in rare form.<br />
<br />
Here's some pics....<br />
<br />
This was the ONLY boy cake Walmart had to offer (at the last minute...ahem). It was a Toy Story cake with a Woody figurine on top. Doesn't Walmart know that Ryder likes CARS?! So....I yanked Woody off the cake...yep, sorry about that Woody....bought a firetruck and turned this very interesting cake into a Matchbox car cake....what? A firetruck can't ride through the desert??<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UGPhX5wUV18/TuSonO70yzI/AAAAAAAABeA/6oQA2kfAM_4/s1600/IMAG000148.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UGPhX5wUV18/TuSonO70yzI/AAAAAAAABeA/6oQA2kfAM_4/s320/IMAG000148.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Did Ryder care? Oh no he didn't!! He wanted that firetruck off that cake!! Poor blurred up Allie (the dog) in the background was just hoping that Ryder would make a critical mistake and knock this cake over. Allie is a cake lover...and has proved herself time and time again that she will get to a cake if it's on a table ANYWHERE!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BV9zBgCDa9w/TuSpQ7QX9aI/AAAAAAAABeI/ePGDiC_Pnoo/s1600/IMAG000437.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BV9zBgCDa9w/TuSpQ7QX9aI/AAAAAAAABeI/ePGDiC_Pnoo/s320/IMAG000437.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Before the cake was served...Ryder knew he had to eat his lunch!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xagSyDM7p-A/TuSpyGGZYrI/AAAAAAAABeQ/ydj3W48w-dE/s1600/IMAG000526.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xagSyDM7p-A/TuSpyGGZYrI/AAAAAAAABeQ/ydj3W48w-dE/s320/IMAG000526.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Really Nana? Clean my plate? Seriously?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RAslEgiyRTw/TuSqD3qROYI/AAAAAAAABeY/VipzndzpPMw/s1600/IMAG000625.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RAslEgiyRTw/TuSqD3qROYI/AAAAAAAABeY/VipzndzpPMw/s320/IMAG000625.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Which turned from serious...to really silly!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FxKOU7PoK20/TuSqQWZS0yI/AAAAAAAABeg/_aQU3KiwMcA/s1600/IMAG000822.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FxKOU7PoK20/TuSqQWZS0yI/AAAAAAAABeg/_aQU3KiwMcA/s320/IMAG000822.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>FINALLY....he could blow out the candles...the first candle went down really fast....the second candle...well, it took a few <strike>spits</strike> blows, but he finally got it blown out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--rzFxWYniBY/TuSqlG1lHEI/AAAAAAAABeo/4IyA--4ogHo/s1600/IMAG001114.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--rzFxWYniBY/TuSqlG1lHEI/AAAAAAAABeo/4IyA--4ogHo/s320/IMAG001114.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6PpZ8Tuv51g/TuSrFcbQCRI/AAAAAAAABew/2wEFKaV2_E8/s1600/IMAG00234.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6PpZ8Tuv51g/TuSrFcbQCRI/AAAAAAAABew/2wEFKaV2_E8/s320/IMAG00234.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

I can't believe Ryder is two. He has brought so much joy into all of our lives these past two years. <br />
<br />
So...with that behind me, I can focus now on shopping. I have just a few more gifts to take care of. I have a lot of wrapping to do. I hope to finish wrapping the gifts today. My Christmas Eve and Christmas Day menu's are written up with a grocery list attached. I've found this great recipe for Christmas morning for breakfast. A Crockpot Breakfast Casserole. I'll be sharing this recipe with you soon. Our precious Sophia will be arriving December 23rd and we are excited to see her....oh...and her parents too! They'll be spending 5 days with us.<br />

<div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'>
<p>This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/disclosure_clicks?oid=6849487'>Slim-Fast</a> for <a rel='nofollow' href='http://izea.in/r1CXo'>SocialSpark</a>. All opinions are 100% mine.</p>
<p> I was recently asked to try out the Slim Fast Shake. I've heard of Slim Fast for many years and I know people have lost weight following their plan. When Slim Fast contacted me about trying this shake out, I went directly to their website and was surprised at all the different items they have to offer and particularly noticed the flavors of the shakes!!! My eye immediately caught Cappuccino Delight....sounds oh so yummy! BUT....since I'm diabetic, I was particularly pleased to see the low carb shakes! The flavors for the low carb were Creamy Chocolate and Vanilla Cream! This is huge for people with diabetes!! We need to watch our carbs and for Slim Fast to offer a low carb shake, I was very impressed.</p>
<p> Slim Fast was nice enough to send me a coupon for a free shake. I waited patiently for the mail to arrive, so I could check out what was available in the stores in our area. I was surprised that my coupon was valued at $8.99 and I was able to get the 8 pack. This is a great start to the beginning of this diet. Thank you so much Slim Fast! I'm excited!</p>
<p> On their website <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=20027&oid=6849487'>Slim-Fast</a> , they have complete instructions on how to start their 3-2-1 plan. You have 2 shakes or meal bars and one 500 calorie balanced meal each day. Easy, right?  They also have an on line progress report to track your weight, water intake and activity level. If you go to their facebook page and "like" their page, you will find a printable coupon at this link <a rel='nofollow' href='http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=20025&oid=6849487'>Slim-Fast.</a></p>
<p> Here's what I chose! and can I just say YUMMY! Rich, Chocolate Royale. Seriously? The name alone says it all. It was indeed rich and creamy and very filling. My daughter and I both enjoyed this shake for breakfast this morning.  </p>
<p> <img style='width: 223px; height: 241px;' src='http://www.slim-fast.com/Themes/Custom/images/products-dynamic/product-lg-13.png' alt=''/></p>
<p> Since I'm diabetic and I do need to lose weight, I'll certainly be purchasing the low carb shakes. This will also help with my sweet tooth when I use the Creamy Chocolate flavor! I'm so glad Slim Fast contacted me. I think my diabetic fairy told them I needed some help!  I would encourage all of you to try at least one and let me know what you think! I think with the upcoming holidays that a New Year's Resolution is in order! I need to lose weight and I'm excited to see what Slim Fast can do to curb my appetite and help me reach my goal of weight loss. I need all the help I can get!</p>
<p> So, here's the challenge! Print your coupon from their facebook page and go to the store and try a shake and tell me what you think. Jump on this bandwagon of weight loss with me and let's see how fast we can shed these holiday pounds!</p>
<p> You can find Slim Fast products at Walmart, Publix and any of your local grocery stores in the diet section!</p>

I tell you...between working all day....shopping...wrapping gifts AND decorating the house, this chick is tired!! Sugarplums dancing in my head? Ummmm....no. If only, right?</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So....I wanted to show you how you can bring Christmas into your kitchen. Several years ago, I bought a 6 foot tree from Walmart. It was an after Christmas clearance sale and I got it for $10! I decided this tree would be mostly decorated with fruit and I headed to the after Christmas sale at Big Lots and found all the frosted fruit I needed to decorate this tree. I used a berry garland to hold to the theme of fruits and last year, I added some other ornaments and some other gift ornaments from my daycare children. Both of my trees have poinsettia's tucked away in the branches and last year I added the sparkly colored limbs to the tree. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's a picture of how my kitchen tree turned out this year!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H4cB8IKbLSs/TuC3DMt_9fI/AAAAAAAABbg/ehl2SD1UTEs/s1600/Christmas+2011-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H4cB8IKbLSs/TuC3DMt_9fI/AAAAAAAABbg/ehl2SD1UTEs/s400/Christmas+2011-1.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U8RtUd_Xn5c/TuC3JkJieOI/AAAAAAAABbo/wpgggaC73BU/s1600/Christmas+2011-102.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U8RtUd_Xn5c/TuC3JkJieOI/AAAAAAAABbo/wpgggaC73BU/s400/Christmas+2011-102.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CDmu0o4qQMc/TuC3W7rOv8I/AAAAAAAABbw/aYKtSVgIK6c/s1600/Christmas+2011-3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CDmu0o4qQMc/TuC3W7rOv8I/AAAAAAAABbw/aYKtSVgIK6c/s400/Christmas+2011-3.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mkoc5TECnoE/TuC3sLW1bdI/AAAAAAAABb4/GtKjD2atrME/s1600/Christmas+2011-4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mkoc5TECnoE/TuC3sLW1bdI/AAAAAAAABb4/GtKjD2atrME/s400/Christmas+2011-4.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-on7yiPWgowI/TuC5Zgy_nBI/AAAAAAAABcI/fnInxn58fEI/s1600/Christmas+2011-5.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-on7yiPWgowI/TuC5Zgy_nBI/AAAAAAAABcI/fnInxn58fEI/s320/Christmas+2011-5.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The kitchen table setting is very simple. Since we use this table on a daily basis, no dinnerware here. I try and keep it simple with some placemats that are kid friendly and then I added an arrangement to the center of the table. I used a large white round platter I had to keep the arrangement together. The two elves were a great find at Beall's a couple of years ago. I did a mixture of colored balls and clippings of holly. The two glass containers on each side of the arrangement is a Dollar Tree find. I glued a glass candle holder to a glass vase. I can change this out to whatever the season is I need it for. For Christmas I decided to use miniature pinecones and frosted fruit that matched the tree ornaments. I added the Santa this year. A great find from Goodwill. I decided he should be holding the pinecones that are in the glass votive. Afterall...he is my helper you know! I had 2 extra silk arrangements to put around the votives for that added touch. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's some pictures.....</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I love my kitchen Santa. It looks like he is ready to begin the baking process. I used my Goodwill cheese dome and placed as many colored balls as it would hold.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u7W_Y-7TuRk/TuC65bGEs6I/AAAAAAAABco/0_xKuNXhYcs/s1600/Christmas+2011-45.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u7W_Y-7TuRk/TuC65bGEs6I/AAAAAAAABco/0_xKuNXhYcs/s400/Christmas+2011-45.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">My windowsill could not go without something on it for Christmas. I normally have a wooden silver sign that says "Merry Christmas" there, but this year I changed things up. The musical box was purchased some 18 years ago on our honeymoon down in St. Augustine, FL. They have the most amazing Christmas shops there. The four coffee mugs were a find this year at Goodwill. They had never been used and they were in a very nice container to store them in. I paid $1.99 for all four.</span><br />

I enjoy putting this table together so much. There's always something old and something new here.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The deer is the centerpiece for this table. I found this deer some time ago at Big Lots. This was on an after Christmas clearance rack. I purchased this long rectangular mirror from Kirkland's last year. I have used it on various different table settings. I love the way it captures the colors. The votives are from Kirklands. Remember how I put silk leaves inside of these for the Fall Decor? I decided to keep things simple, since there was so much going on on the mirror. I chose some really inexpensive glass red balls and then splurged a bit on the green and red larger ornaments. I snipped the holly from a vine and was able to arrange them as needed for this centerpiece. The fruit rings around the votives were a rummage sale find recently. I paid $.25 for each one.....don't you think the frosted fruit is perfect for this setting?</span> <br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FU4LkMK0ZE4/Tt0asVIDnRI/AAAAAAAABag/g51M29oQLj8/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room+10.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FU4LkMK0ZE4/Tt0asVIDnRI/AAAAAAAABag/g51M29oQLj8/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room+10.JPG" width="640" /> </a><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's an up close shot of the frosted fruit. When I purchased these 2 rings at the rummage sale, the lady told me these were very expensive and they had belonged to her. What a steal at $.25!!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tUBh9Cj69j0/Tt0ZW_MLekI/AAAAAAAABZo/FjdvKvXdMgQ/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tUBh9Cj69j0/Tt0ZW_MLekI/AAAAAAAABZo/FjdvKvXdMgQ/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The Christmas dinnerware was purchased several years ago and I can assure it was at a bargain. I was able to find the matching velvet tablecloth at Target. The linen napkin is from World Market. I snatched 12 of these up for $3.78 per box of 4. Three of these napkins have a different design on it. This partridge is perfect! I love the colors it brings to the table.</span><br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The red and pink snowflake napkin.....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N4pDZqsVRyI/Tt0ZwGfnplI/AAAAAAAABZ4/kfK7Fo2Nh8I/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N4pDZqsVRyI/Tt0ZwGfnplI/AAAAAAAABZ4/kfK7Fo2Nh8I/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The green snowflake napkin......</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yiyD3WN6JGQ/Tt0aG47PFxI/AAAAAAAABaI/oaVncX_RhoA/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yiyD3WN6JGQ/Tt0aG47PFxI/AAAAAAAABaI/oaVncX_RhoA/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room+5.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Here's a picture of the completed table. I used four linen placemats. The silverware is from my mom. She had a bag of odds and end silverware that she was about to toss and I grabbed them! It doesn't always have to match, right? </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-idVBGifjbcE/Tt0Z7Kp2o9I/AAAAAAAABaA/lJaXlCEGoUs/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-idVBGifjbcE/Tt0Z7Kp2o9I/AAAAAAAABaA/lJaXlCEGoUs/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room+4.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The red cut glass ball in the crystal was Hannah's idea. She was thrilled that I used it. She was so much help in this decorating process. She arranged the dishes for me and carefully placed each piece perfectly. I am in hopes that she is learning so much from me and one day I can sit at her beautiful table for Christmas.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_qm5MIIccgE/Tt0ahbMeCOI/AAAAAAAABaY/D-5bfTkcjR0/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room+9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_qm5MIIccgE/Tt0ahbMeCOI/AAAAAAAABaY/D-5bfTkcjR0/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room+9.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">These red and green satin balls were a Big Lots find on a clearance rack. Perfect for this table. I have used them all together in a bowl for decoration, but this year and last year I liked this centerpiece and how it all looked together.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TrzRJutG-UQ/Tt0a5bx9MzI/AAAAAAAABao/cqEAdMV-N_4/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room+12.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TrzRJutG-UQ/Tt0a5bx9MzI/AAAAAAAABao/cqEAdMV-N_4/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room+12.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Last year I purchased this garland to wrap the light fixture with. I added some holly clippings and wah-lah....</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uvfKAiH7NDM/Tt0bVcmPZQI/AAAAAAAABa4/b7Ydf7dtYcQ/s1600/Christmas+Dining+Room+15.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uvfKAiH7NDM/Tt0bVcmPZQI/AAAAAAAABa4/b7Ydf7dtYcQ/s640/Christmas+Dining+Room+15.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">On my china cabinet I kept my silver candle holders and added this basket. I had Hannah toss in the last of all of our mixture of ornaments and added these 2 crosses that I found at Goodwill. The crosses were $.99 each and I was able to snag four of them for around the house. I felt like it still needed some height to the arrangement and I headed off to The Dollar Tree and found this tinseled tree. For $1...it was all I needed. The oval shaped plate in the background was also a Goodwill find several years ago. It's a hand painted platter that just spoke to me. I had to have it and I've used it in various places around the house. It just seemed to fit here for Christmas.</span><br />

It took the entire weekend...but I'm done. I've just got a few minor details to take care of before I can say completely done. It was an exhausting ordeal. My age really showed this weekend. If I did not have Hannah's help, I don't think I would have made it! She was even exhausted at one point and just sat on the living room floor and handed me the ornaments. We were both determined to get the job done.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So...here we go...I'm not going to show you everything in this post...but I think I'll start with the family room.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's a pic of a couple of my Santa's on the mantel. I've had the nutcrackers for several years now and they always find a place on my mantle. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NU74S_ATL6c/TtzXRq5NmuI/AAAAAAAABYQ/ZqcIxsMWDdY/s1600/Christmas+2011-21.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NU74S_ATL6c/TtzXRq5NmuI/AAAAAAAABYQ/ZqcIxsMWDdY/s640/Christmas+2011-21.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Our stockings are very plentiful as you can see. Each one came from JC Penney and it seems we keep adding more and more each year! Which is a good thing!</span><br />

There are around 8 very large containers that hub has to move into the house from the storage building outside. The building is located at the far end of the yard......ahem....have I mentioned that his loathes that particular process?! He's taken the day off....I'm allowing....ahem again.....him to sleep in this morning, but that is soon to be over! I'm in decorating mode now!!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">There will be plenty of pictures to share of this process! I'm so excited! I'm hoping we can get the tree up this evening!</span>mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-32865770645623286992011-11-30T08:39:00.006-05:002011-12-01T00:23:26.634-05:00Christmas Past<span style="font-size: large;">Okay all you decorating crazy people for Christmas.....I haven't had a chance to do ANYTHING! So...today's blog is dedicated to Christmas past.....you'll get to see all of the pics I can scrape up from the past! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here we go........</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This is last years Christmas tree....I chunked the Angel topper and went with the sparkly new toppers....Hannah hated it...I loved it. She wanted her Angel and that's all she seemed to be fixated on last Christmas! This picture is dated 12/04.....boy am I behind this year...not one gift wrapped yet! </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9ugwF70OrCg/TtYrLKuxSoI/AAAAAAAABXI/jo2CihcGT6c/s1600/Christmas+Tree+2010.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9ugwF70OrCg/TtYrLKuxSoI/AAAAAAAABXI/jo2CihcGT6c/s640/Christmas+Tree+2010.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Last years dining room table.....not sure what I'll do this year! The napkins in the coffee cups was a great find at World Market the year before. I think I paid around $1 each for these. The Santa mini stocking in the glasses are used to hold the silverware on Christmas Day. The deer was an after Christmas find at Big Lots! You know I got a great deal on that, right?! You can barely see the overhead light fixture adorned with garland and holly leaves.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fLrD_Kng53E/TtYr0WtlvsI/AAAAAAAABXQ/xe6MLiR6yfw/s1600/Christmas10A.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fLrD_Kng53E/TtYr0WtlvsI/AAAAAAAABXQ/xe6MLiR6yfw/s640/Christmas10A.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Here's the tree from last year in the kitchen....I added this tree a few years ago. I found the Elve's on the kitchen table centerpiece at Beall's a couple of years ago....it was a huge after Christmas sale and I got them at a very discounted price....the glass votives are from the Dollar Tree...remember I glued a glass candle holder to the votive? Filled with glass balls makes for a very colorful setting!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--SaH375PNEE/TtYsKMCiF7I/AAAAAAAABXY/c7PaAVNK0Rg/s1600/Christmas10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--SaH375PNEE/TtYsKMCiF7I/AAAAAAAABXY/c7PaAVNK0Rg/s640/Christmas10.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">I'll be changing the mantle up this year with Santa's!! I can't wait to see the end result. This is an '07 pic!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DeDOVNwS6uk/TtYtBG5Z94I/AAAAAAAABXg/AEml1-kO9ZY/s1600/Christmas+Mantle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DeDOVNwS6uk/TtYtBG5Z94I/AAAAAAAABXg/AEml1-kO9ZY/s640/Christmas+Mantle.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Hannah and Christina got in the Christmas spirit and made a platter of sugar cookies. Aren't they all just so cute! I hope this can be a tradition and we can make more this year!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cmXM2R-EQCU/TtYtaNiWD4I/AAAAAAAABXo/ux4Ll6C08sQ/s1600/cookies1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cmXM2R-EQCU/TtYtaNiWD4I/AAAAAAAABXo/ux4Ll6C08sQ/s640/cookies1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">In '08...Hannah and I made this cinnamon gingerbread men ornaments! We use these every year on a small white tree in our hallway.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DT6Ysxw2jgA/TtYtxZMLzXI/AAAAAAAABXw/cSV2sdBN-Ac/s1600/decor1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DT6Ysxw2jgA/TtYtxZMLzXI/AAAAAAAABXw/cSV2sdBN-Ac/s640/decor1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-788m57iEMh0/TtYuXJTtLXI/AAAAAAAABX4/wkwKfbAqYls/s1600/Fireplace.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">L<img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-788m57iEMh0/TtYuXJTtLXI/AAAAAAAABX4/wkwKfbAqYls/s640/Fireplace.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Last year's mantle.......I added another Santa to the mantle and some glass balls. Isn't the fireplace just so inviting?! We don't have many days in South Georgia to enjoy a fire.....I have been known to have the a/c on just to have a fire in the fireplace!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I'm so excited to get things rolling this weekend.....Friday night we'll begin the decorating process of the inside of the house and by Saturday I'm hoping to be able to get my tree up. There will be plenty of pictures to share this year!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">For now....I'll leave you with this beautiful picture of our granddaughter Sophia. I can't wait to see her Christmas!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BMl_TRJHtk0/TtYwAd0ThlI/AAAAAAAABYA/270qgowwlNo/s640/Sophia+%2526+Santa.jpg" width="456" /> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

The holidays would not be a "good thing" with just one refrigerator. I don't know how I did it all those years with one fridge. Today is the last day....my brother and his family will leave tomorrow. My brother in law and his family left on Saturday. Tomorrow is work day.<br />
<br />
Today my goal is to rid my fridge of leftovers! I took a few pics so you could get the general idea of what I'm dealing with here!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fqLY6tWDTuI/TtJPZlbLCtI/AAAAAAAABWg/I53xzCY7gkk/s1600/IMAG000433.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fqLY6tWDTuI/TtJPZlbLCtI/AAAAAAAABWg/I53xzCY7gkk/s400/IMAG000433.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

No one can leave until it's all gone!! See that pumpkin pie? There are more of these at my mom's house...plus banana pudding and a deviled foods cake here. Can we say sweet overload today?! IT MUST LEAVE MY HOUSE!<br />
<br />
Yesterday, the girls of the family went shopping. All. Day. Long. It was fun....I was able to knock out a few Christmas presents. Everything was going well until Mom almost slid out of the car....thanks to Hannah grabbing Me-Maw's hand. I don't think I've ever moved so fast....I had to put the car in park....take the seat belt off...open the car door....and grab the door that my mom was having a problem closing...hence the slide out ordeal. Thing is...we were at Goodwill. Would I have ever heard the end of Me-Maw sliding out into the parking lot on a VERY STEEP HILL at Goodwill?! <br />
<br />
Hannah and I managed to go to Goodwill again on Friday...just because. I found some really cute things...I'll be sharing those items next week. Next weekend is Christmas tree and decorating the inside of the house. HUGE JOB. Lots of containers....hub will hate me....Hannah will be all over the place....the tree will be on Sunday. Lots to do!!<br />
<br />
Happy Turkey leftover day! Well...here at my house anyway!mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-8918462536554942912011-11-25T07:01:00.000-05:002011-11-25T07:01:52.539-05:00Post Thanksgiving!Thanksgiving Day ended up being a no stress day. I sat around twiddling my thumbs most of the morning. All my prep work 2 days ahead of time had certainly paid off. It felt strange and wonderful all at the same time. There was nothing for me to do, but wait until after lunch to begin any sort of cooking.<br />
<br />
The family came in.....the meal was on the table by 4pm.....I had lots of kisses from my grandson, Ryder....my brother and his family were here....all was well in my world. My brother took some pictures of the buffet table before anyone got close to it with their plate. I think the picture taking seemed like a million years to my very hungry son. He is clearly inpatient when it comes to food! <br />
<br />
(Not great pictures...but deal with it....mmmmkay?)<br />
<br />
Here's a pic of part of the table. See that cornbread dressing?! Compliments from my mom on some great tasting dressing and all was well. It was delicious! Below the bread basket is a small glass dish of beets and goat cheese. This was a new dish added this year. I always like to try something new every year. I'm not a beet lover...but my husband and mother love them. The goat cheese was scrumptious with the beets. This was another glass dish I had found earlier at Goodwill....along with the olive dish and the butter dish. All for $.99. <br />
<br />

In the far right corner you'll see a small, white casserole dish that sits in a metal holder. Goodwill my dears....$4.99. I found this on Friday. It matched my other white dishes on the left perfectly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6DoOgoJbNZQ/Ts995l2QdyI/AAAAAAAABVo/RhALjGSI-Dw/s1600/IMAG000237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6DoOgoJbNZQ/Ts995l2QdyI/AAAAAAAABVo/RhALjGSI-Dw/s400/IMAG000237.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>This arrangement on the sofa table in the formal living room was a perfect backdrop for the buffet table. The plaque reads "In Everything We Give Thanks". Remember that find at the rummage sale for $.50?<br />
<br />
I removed the over sized centerpiece.... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mzuTvfFQ6Rg/Ts9-SEZaIyI/AAAAAAAABVw/_zwlIfLEGV0/s1600/IMAG000430.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mzuTvfFQ6Rg/Ts9-SEZaIyI/AAAAAAAABVw/_zwlIfLEGV0/s400/IMAG000430.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
and used my Goodwill finds to adorn the center of our table....<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
There was only one complaint from the kids from the breakfast room table.....the plates were not BIG enough they said!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4HlLD-FXdKw/Ts-ACUUkasI/AAAAAAAABWI/3G3mmfZPP-8/s1600/IMAG000619.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4HlLD-FXdKw/Ts-ACUUkasI/AAAAAAAABWI/3G3mmfZPP-8/s400/IMAG000619.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>I don't know how we missed the dessert table...but we did. I had a separate table for all of our desserts that everyone was to full to even attempt to eat. I will be serving desserts for several days around here!<br />
<br />
All in all our family had a very blessed day. Ryder kept us all very entertained with his cuteness....<br />

Did I just say Christmas? Oh my! Let the fun begin! Out with the Fall Decor and on with the Christmas Decor!!<br />
<br />
I hope yesterday found you with all of your loved ones. I'm so fortunate to have my parents with me at the ages of 79 & 80. God has really blessed our family. Tonight we enjoy time with my in laws and we are really blessed to have them still with us. They have many health problems and keep on keeping on. Truly an inspiration to us all.<br />
<br />
This morning we'll have breakfast with my brother in law and his family from North Carolina. We finally get to meet our great niece for the first time! Tyler and Ryder plan on spending the day here and then we're off to my sister in laws for dinner tonight with the in laws. We'll enjoy this afternoon with my brother and his family and then tomorrow the ladies plan on torturing the men with a shopping trip. I plan on soaking up this weekend with family.......<br />
<br />
It's Black Friday! What to do...what to do....I really don't get involved with all that....I might flip out, so I keep myself away from the stores on that day....*smiles*<br />
<br />
Have a wonderful weekend!!mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075318345519864158.post-52062487102071310972011-11-24T06:13:00.000-05:002011-11-24T06:13:50.817-05:00Happy Thanksgiving!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-q8vv7HF0q7M/Ts4mZN8L1GI/AAAAAAAABVQ/cwPXNPxKEDo/s1600/Thanksgiving.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="313" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-q8vv7HF0q7M/Ts4mZN8L1GI/AAAAAAAABVQ/cwPXNPxKEDo/s400/Thanksgiving.gif" width="400" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

This is day 2 of getting my game on for the dinner tomorrow. My desserts are made. Banana Pudding and Deviled Food Cake! My mom always makes delicious pumpkin pies. My giblet gravy is simmering. Deviled eggs are done. Boiled eggs are divided into baggies waiting for tomorrow. The onions for my dressing are already chopped, along with my cheese for the mac & cheese. This will make for an easy day of cooking tomorrow. You'll be surprised how much time little things like that take when you are rushed! The buffet table is set. I have finished the kitchen table setting. The decor is FINISHED!<br />
<br />
It's a very rainy, cloudy day today....I did my best with the pictures. I thought I'd take you through what's been going on with some snapshots!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FLedVGSrDgc/Ts0TQWSoLkI/AAAAAAAABVI/1C2BSr35N7E/s1600/IMAG001310.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FLedVGSrDgc/Ts0TQWSoLkI/AAAAAAAABVI/1C2BSr35N7E/s400/IMAG001310.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>Dining room table ready to go. I love these harvest pumpkin dishes. This is the first year I've used them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-v3hpWLqkLTU/Ts0RNZWn_1I/AAAAAAAABTY/eEAgGYO2JoM/s1600/IMAG00157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-v3hpWLqkLTU/Ts0RNZWn_1I/AAAAAAAABTY/eEAgGYO2JoM/s400/IMAG00157.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> My Goodwill olive dish! I love using it around the holidays. Below is the buffet table ready! I have thought out every single dish I will be serving. No time to do that tomorrow!! I found this paper table cloth from Walmart. I'll have a dessert table with the same tablecloth on it tomorrow.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-E6mhjM7EFIg/Ts0RT35X6eI/AAAAAAAABTg/w7X2-kWzvgY/s1600/IMAG00164.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-E6mhjM7EFIg/Ts0RT35X6eI/AAAAAAAABTg/w7X2-kWzvgY/s400/IMAG00164.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tLhd1CzaOgk/Ts0RpNraZjI/AAAAAAAABTw/eEuAHWdKoLI/s1600/IMAG00149.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tLhd1CzaOgk/Ts0RpNraZjI/AAAAAAAABTw/eEuAHWdKoLI/s400/IMAG00149.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> My silver turkey platter! I actually have 3 turkey platters. I decided to use this one this year. It sort of breaks of the feel of the table and the turkey should be the center of attention!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N9SVS0fruRU/Ts0RyL31ZPI/AAAAAAAABT4/blJlmpu7CDw/s1600/IMAG000141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N9SVS0fruRU/Ts0RyL31ZPI/AAAAAAAABT4/blJlmpu7CDw/s400/IMAG000141.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> The kitchen table set and ready to go! Remember, I used this table setting in my formal dining room prior to this weekend. A quick swap to the kitchen.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hdJbnBjJ9tU/Ts0R63Gc_NI/AAAAAAAABUA/78b7hFaXgxo/s1600/IMAG000331.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hdJbnBjJ9tU/Ts0R63Gc_NI/AAAAAAAABUA/78b7hFaXgxo/s400/IMAG000331.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> More pics of the buffet table. <br />

I found 2 of these metal candle holders at a sidewalk sale for $1 each!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aHFx_nXy8WM/Ts0SHxwy8zI/AAAAAAAABUQ/et1zEkmCT_A/s1600/IMAG000718.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aHFx_nXy8WM/Ts0SHxwy8zI/AAAAAAAABUQ/et1zEkmCT_A/s400/IMAG000718.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> Dining room table.....<br />

Do you remember this centerpiece Goodwill find? I added the pumpkin and a couple of silk flowers to complete this arrangement.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_pzkhiVcp0E/Ts0SU2c1V4I/AAAAAAAABUg/PoelmRcwwBM/s1600/IMAG000519.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_pzkhiVcp0E/Ts0SU2c1V4I/AAAAAAAABUg/PoelmRcwwBM/s400/IMAG000519.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> I think I have just enough room on the buffet for food only.....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7j56uz4ZE2Q/Ts0ScxuM0oI/AAAAAAAABUo/A6sEhKBYX1k/s1600/IMAG001014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7j56uz4ZE2Q/Ts0ScxuM0oI/AAAAAAAABUo/A6sEhKBYX1k/s400/IMAG001014.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> Remember this Goodwill squirrel?! She is just perfect for this table setting.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mhM8aVUVgD4/Ts0ShCZ1jeI/AAAAAAAABUw/RXDoWAIgaYc/s1600/IMAG000818.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mhM8aVUVgD4/Ts0ShCZ1jeI/AAAAAAAABUw/RXDoWAIgaYc/s400/IMAG000818.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> I'm loving my Goodwill Pottery Barn turkey dessert dishes! I've been able to use these for a couple of years now.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7JX8L-1UfyM/Ts0SqmRwE8I/AAAAAAAABU4/FpUOhiaOdnw/s1600/IMAG000917.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7JX8L-1UfyM/Ts0SqmRwE8I/AAAAAAAABU4/FpUOhiaOdnw/s400/IMAG000917.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> I can't wait for the food to be on this table tomorrow!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WwKNRu5pdoM/Ts0SyaVi6EI/AAAAAAAABVA/z7rX4uDnRMA/s1600/IMAG001213.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WwKNRu5pdoM/Ts0SyaVi6EI/AAAAAAAABVA/z7rX4uDnRMA/s400/IMAG001213.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>Well...there you have it. I have very little to do tomorrow. I'm having lots of fun using my different dishes from Goodwill.<br />
<br />
Hopefully, I'll remember to take some pics before we eat all the food tomorrow! With just a little pre-planning, I plan on having a relaxing morning on Thanksgiving. I'll be serving dinner around 4ish tomorrow and I'm hoping for some empty tummies!<br />
<br />
I want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families....<br />
<br />
ummm what's next?!<br />

It wasn't planned that way....those monkeys were just to darn cute to pass up! Plus, they keep turning up and I can't pass them buy.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I ventured out to Goodwill on Sunday, just because I'm an <strike>addict</strike> lover of Goodwill finds. I had no plans to spend one dime....*giggles*.......but I just knew something would jump into my cart. Guess what it was?</span><br />

I'm very pleased with how well it all looks! </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vimMJvA9row/TsqYqb4l-vI/AAAAAAAABSA/Enm46DwmAvY/s1600/IMAG000140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="358" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vimMJvA9row/TsqYqb4l-vI/AAAAAAAABSA/Enm46DwmAvY/s640/IMAG000140.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O0STIsrSJ2s/TsqY9T8ETXI/AAAAAAAABSI/yIHtWYiKDrw/s1600/IMAG000330.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="358" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O0STIsrSJ2s/TsqY9T8ETXI/AAAAAAAABSI/yIHtWYiKDrw/s640/IMAG000330.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>I love the pumpkin theme. It matches my placemats and my runner perfectly. I added a golden tablecloth to the table and I think it all just goes perfectly!<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z16t_dKm8x4/TsqaFMXX4qI/AAAAAAAABSo/UW1t6yFEkgM/s1600/IMAG000618.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="358" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z16t_dKm8x4/TsqaFMXX4qI/AAAAAAAABSo/UW1t6yFEkgM/s640/IMAG000618.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>The cream and sugar dishes are all ready to go.....<br />
<br />
<br />
The dinnerware that I had originally used on this table for decoration will all be moved to the kitchen breakfast room. That table will have to wait until Wednesday night.<br />
<br />
Tomorrow and Wednesday are big prep/cooking days here! I actually made the Paula Deen Pumpkin Bars today and I have to tell you...it is SCRUMPTIOUS! You can find the recipe at this link <a href="http://mtashie-theplace.blogspot.com/2011/11/did-someone-say-pumpkin.html">here</a>.<br />

Paula Deen is one of my favorites and she makes everything look so easy.<br />
<br />
Do these look just scrumptious or what?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JbajhJPu4Ls/TsehkQOn1cI/AAAAAAAABRw/R4dRyaeN5V0/s1600/Pumpkin+Bars.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="197" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JbajhJPu4Ls/TsehkQOn1cI/AAAAAAAABRw/R4dRyaeN5V0/s320/Pumpkin+Bars.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I know, right?! Here's the link to the recipe. <a href="http://thanksgiving.food.com/recipe/pumpkin-bars-paula-deen-265794">Pumpkin Bars</a><br />
<br />
I bought the ingredients last night. I really don't need these for my Thanksgiving menu, but I'm making 'em! I think we should begin celebrating "pumpkin" days before Thanksgiving! We have family coming in on Monday night and I think these might turn a head or two. Seriously? Who could resist these??<br />
<br />
I finished shopping for my Thanksgiving menu last night. I'm happy to have everything in my house and hopefully I will not have to enter a grocery store until after Thanksgiving.<br />
<br />
We'll be going to visit my grandson, Ryder today. He's sick with bronchitis. I think Nana and Papa need to take him a few things to keep him busy while he's recovering. I feel stickers coming his way. Here's a picture of him last night at his Daddy's. He came in at 6pm asleep and woke up several hours later ready to play!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1qY49KMpeVI/TsejZzS0XwI/AAAAAAAABR4/zyB9FfkhC84/s1600/Ryder+Sick.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1qY49KMpeVI/TsejZzS0XwI/AAAAAAAABR4/zyB9FfkhC84/s320/Ryder+Sick.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>He is laying on top of the coffee table! I think Santa needs to bring him a table for his cars!<br />
<br />
Have a wonderful weekend and the one's that are hosting Thanksgiving, try not to stress out and the one's that are not....I remember when!!!mtashiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02494830691270840535noreply@blogger.com0
