Here's the first couple of pics. Her cabinets were oak and now they are white with a wrought iron black glaze. The difference speaks volumes! The cabinets really pop now - they look wonderful, don't they?
Don't you just love this?! This sits on top of her fridge. The colors are amazing against the white cabinets. She found the two matching pieces at Hobby Lobby and the fruit vase at Steinmart.
This is a little illustration of a "few of her favorite things" she put together next to her kitchen sink (and I'm not talking about the corks). The initial plate came from Hobby Lobby. I know, I want one! I love the corks in the wine carafe. I wonder who told her about that idea?! Heh. Don't you just love the chefs in the kitchen! They bring so much character to any setting.
She also had her oak table painted black and distressed a bit. The distressed oak showing through the black paint really is a nice touch with the tile flooring and the backsplash. The TV hutch was painted to match the cabinets as well.
Another corner shot of the kitchen. I fell in love with those red scales! They are Paula Deen scales and are sold at Walmart. Had to have them...they are now sitting on MY kitchen counter top!
The day we went thrifting together, we found this white bowl. $8! She added the fruit and veggies and this turned out perfect for her kitchen table centerpiece. The white and black contrast is perfect!
I love the entrance into her formal dining room. The plates are perfect and draw your eye right into that room!
What kitchen doesn't have a Bon Appetit picture in it?!
and just in case she forgets how to make Sangria's.....
Not only does she have a great kitchen, she has an equally fabulous laundry room. My dream laundry room! I really hate her! She had the cabinets above her washer and dryer painted at the same time her kitchen cabinets were done. I love that she has roo's!! This side table came from Hobby Lobby and fit perfectly in that spot.
Here's an up close shot of the table setting!
These pictures adorn the walls of her laundry room. The colors are wonderful, aren't they?
So? What do you think? Amazingly beautiful! I wish I had before pics, but she had this done before I realized I was to become a blogger. Doesn't this just make you want to buy a gallon of paint and go to painting?!
I'm joining up with this party!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you did this post on the kitchen cabinets. Mine have exactly the same doors. They are in desperated need of being painted white. I also have blackish (amazonia verde) granite countertops and black appliances and hardwood floors. Your pictures show me what my finished project would probably look like!
